Terms of use

Short, and in plain language, because nobody reads the other kind.

Using this service

These tools are provided free of charge, with no account and no contract. Using them means accepting the terms on this page. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.

Acceptable use

You are responsible for the files you upload. In particular, you agree not to use these tools to:

  • Process material you have no right to copy or convert.
  • Attempt to remove or circumvent digital rights management.
  • Upload malware, or files crafted to attack the service or other users.
  • Automate access in a way that degrades the service for others, or work around the rate limits.
  • Break any law that applies to you.

Converting a book you own into a different format is generally reasonable personal use in most places, but copyright law varies by country, and you are the one who has to know which rules apply to you.

Availability and limits

  • The service is provided as-is, with no guarantee of availability, and it may change or stop at any time.
  • File size, rate and concurrency limits apply so the service stays usable for everyone. They are shown on each tool page.
  • Files are deleted automatically. Nothing here is storage — download what you need when it is ready.

No warranty

Conversion between document formats is inherently imperfect, and this is stated plainly throughout the site rather than buried here. The output is provided without warranty of any kind, including as to accuracy, fidelity or fitness for a particular purpose.

Always keep your original file. Check the output before relying on it for anything that matters.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of this service, including lost files, lost time or lost profits. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Your files stay yours

Uploading a file grants no rights over it beyond the technical permission to process it into the output you asked for, and to delete it afterwards. Your files are not used for training, analysis, or any purpose other than the conversion you requested.
